Yes. ScribeZapp Core requires no account, no subscription, and no credit card. Download it, install it, and transcribe. There's no usage limit and no expiry. We may release updated free versions over time.

Is $19/year a permanent price for Pro?

This is first-year launch pricing. We may revise it for future years as we add more features. Your renewal price will always be communicated at least 30 days in advance.

What audio and video formats does ScribeZapp support?

ScribeZapp accepts MP3, MP4, WAV, M4A, FLAC, OGG, MKV, MOV, AVI, and WebM files. If FFmpeg can read it, ScribeZapp can transcribe it.

How does PII anonymization work?

Pro automatically detects names, emails, phone numbers, and other identifying information in your transcript and replaces them with placeholders — entirely offline. You can restore the original values at any time on your own machine. Full FAQ →

Does the AI Summary feature send my data to the cloud?

AI Summary uses the AI assistant you already use — your transcript is anonymized locally first, and the connection happens from your machine using your own access. We do not operate or have visibility into that connection.

Can I upgrade from Core to Pro later?

Yes — just subscribe to Pro through the button above. Your existing Core installation upgrades in place; you don't need to reinstall. The additional Pro models download automatically on first Pro launch.
